Good news; Hearts of Oak Skipper and Olympics defender get a late black stars call up

CK Akonnor hands late Black Stars call-up to Hearts of Oak Captain Fatawu Mohammed and Olympics defender Ashie-Quaye.

Hearts of Oak Skipper Fatawu Mohammed and Great Olympics defender Samuel Ashie-Quaye have been given late welcome to the Black Stars group for the World Cup qualifiers.

The pair were given call-ups by Ghana's trainer C.K Akonnor as certain players fail to report because of movement limitations.

In the meantime, winger Tariqe Fosu has been pardoned from the group for the matches against Ethiopia and South Africa. Brentford City winger Tarique Fosu is pardoned from the impending tasks to figure out his future with the club.

"Samuel Ashie Quaye (Great Olympics), Fatawu Mohammed (Hearts of Oak) called up by Coach Charles Akonnor.

The two players have been great for their clubs in the Ghana Premier League, with Fatawu Mohammed assisting Hearts in winning the league and  FA Cup.

Samuel Ashie-Quaye was important for the Black Satellites group that won the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Ghana is one of the nations on the mainland that have been influenced by the English FA's choice to confine players from going to the  COVID-19 red zone.

This implies the Ghanaian players in the English Premier League won't make a trip to South Africa.
