"The club is happy to report the expansion of Gladson Awako to the crew. Welcome to the Rainbow family," Hearts said.
Awako has been probably the best part in the Ghana Premier League since getting back to the homegrown scene two years prior.
The 30-year-old joined Great Olympics in 2019 and was instrumental as they completed 6th in the 2020/21 season.
Over the course of the end of the week, Awako bade goodbye to the Dade chaps, contending his two years with the club was huge.
"It's with blended feelings that I am composing this message. To everybody at Accra Great Olympics Football Club," he composed.
"The proprietor Mr Amakai who brought me here, to my partners who helped me, to the staff who made my time here so natural and to all you fans who caused me to feel so unique week in week out.
"It has been an amazing excursion and it is with extraordinary pity that I should bid farewell. I will miss all of you and hope everything turns out great for you of karma later on. Much obliged for everything."
Awako is perhaps the most finished dynamic Ghanaian footballers, having won the U-20 FIFA World Cup, CAF Champions League, CAF Confederations Cup and the CAF Super Cup.
He would wish to use his experience to help Hearts of Oak as the club gets ready to contend in the CAF Champions League.
