Kwabena Yeboah brands Kotoko board structure as a 'joke'
Veteran Journalist Kwabena Yeboah has uncovered that Asante Kotoko was made to rest in a ship in Tema in light of juju yet they were thumped by Hearts of Oak in a game.
Most Ghanaian clubs, players, and managers seriously trust spirituality in football, prevalently alluded to as juju.
During the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season, Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko played a portion of a game with 10-men due to juju claims from the two clubs.
Kwabena, who is an eminent Kotoko fan and a previous ball kid of the club, didn't beat around the bush in censuring the juju fiasco in the neighborhood scene.
"I've been intensely associated with juju throughout the long term when I was young with club teams. Since I was young with a juvenile mind and I accepted this belief," he revealed to Starr FM.
"Okwawu were doing it, Kotoko were doing it. I recollect those occasions when Hearts had the fearsome fivesome, and when in camp, a portion of the water for cooking was even imported from the north.
"We (Kotoko) would come to Accra and be crushed by Hearts of Oak and we (Kotoko) would be told in transit we crossed a specific waterway and that weakened the intensity of the juju.
"The following that time around we needed to fly, then, at that point, we were beaten once more. Then, at that point, we will be informed that some of our players showed up in Accra and dirtied their ropes.
"You know, interestingly, Kotoko proceeded to remain in a ship in Tema. Again we lost.
"I recollect Joe Sam, previous Eleven Wise and Kotoko star, an extraordinary player went to my uncle and advised him, Kweku where we've reached, me I don't accept and believe the juju anymore [juju don't work].
"It's most awful clubs in Ghana proceed to intensely depend on juju, and I've heard a few players stress that juju works in football.
"It is so inept! It's just a dead mind who'd accept that juju plays football, and it's something that we ought not to face by any means."
