CAF CL: Medeama will leave Ghana for Guinea on Thursday

Ghanaian Champions Medeama SC are expected to depart from Ghana to Guinea on Thursday for the second leg of the second round of the CAF Cham

pions League against Horoya AC.

Medeama SC defeated Horoya AC by 3-1 in the first leg at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium fortnight ago and are in poll position to making it into the group stages of the competition.

The team have prepared to leave the country latest by Thursday to have enough preparation ahead of the game on Saturday afternoon at the Lansana Conte Sports Stadium.

The Tarkwa-based side have had an abysmal start to the 2023/24 BetPawa Ghana Premier but are poised to achieving the quest of making the money zone of the competition having had the return of key players of the team and will be traveling with them to Guinea.

In Guinea, however, reports are that the Lansana Conte Sports Stadium will be available for spectators for free to support the home side into the next stage of the competition.

Ghanaian clubs have struggle to make any positive impact in the African Club Competitions over the years and Medeama are on the way of rewriting the script for Ghanaian clubs in this season CAF Champions League.
