Arsenal boss praises Partey's return

Manager for English Premier League side Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has poured praises on Ghanaian international Thomas Teye Partey as a great player who gives the team alternatives in times of need.

Thomas Partey has been away from the Arsenal team for a month now due to an injury he sustained but has returned to full team training on Monday which has boosted the team ahead of their weekend encounter in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been pivotal for the London-side under Mikel Arteta's 2022/23 stipendous season but has had minimal impact to the side this season due to injuries.

The Spanish gaffer has been full of excitement since the return of the player who was equally welcomed by his teammates before training yesterday.

Arteta is quoted to have said "big player Partey complements Arsenal in so many ways and gives us options".

The former Atletico Madrid player could not join Ghana's squad for September's international games against Central Africa Republic and Liberia.

With his full recovery, he is likely to join the Black Stars squad for the October international break where Ghana plays United States of America in an international friendly in Florida.
