"Be fair in measuring the FA using Black Stars performance" - Exco Member

An Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association Kingsley Osei Bonsu has called on moderation and fairness on how the Ghana Football Association should be assessed on their work in strengthening every sphere of football in the country.

The Bechem United CEO insists the work of the FA and how they are assessed should be detached from the performance of the Black Stars and that, the performance of the latter should not be a measuring rod to the former.

He continued to explain that the Association ensure everything is put in place to aid the Black Stars perform well in competitions and if they should be blames for the team's abysmal performance, it should go to the playing body and their technical team.

"Sometimes people assess the performance of the FA, based on the Black Stars performance but I don’t think that is the best thing,” Bonsu told Service radio Sunyani as quoted by footballghana.com.

“If I’m an administrator, I do what is expected of me aside as putting the Black Stars into a good shape.

“When you get to the field is between two teams and they determine our faith and maybe we are defeated, we shouldn’t blame administration whiles playing body and the technical team are there without any blames," he added.

Ghana suffered an annihilation of 6-0 aggregate in a two friendly games in the USA against Mexico and United States which sparked talks as to whether the country is ready for the upcoming AFCON in Ivory Coast next year.

Ghana will kick start her 2026 World Cup qualifiers in November against Mozambique and Comoros.
