BLACK STARS: Partey returns to squad for US, Mexico friendly

Ghanaian international Thomas Teye Partey has been handed a call up for Ghana's friendly encounter against the United States of America and Mexico for the October international break.

The 30-year-old has been out on the sideline for more than a month now due to an injury he sustained which forced him to miss Ghana's last AFCON 2023 Qualifier against Central Africa Republic in September.

The former Atletico Madrid star joined his teammates in London on Monday after gaining full recovery giving him the opportunity to likely feature in games for Arsenal before the international break.

Head coach of the Black Stars Chris Hughton has added his name to the Twenty-three (23) man squad for the games against US and Mexico in America on the 14th and 17th of October.

Ghana has qualified for the AFCON 2023 to be held in Ivory Coast in January 2024 and will use the two friendly games as a preparatory grounds for the biennial tournament.
