GFA Elections: Kwasi Appiah makes GFA Exco seat

Technical Director of Asante Kotoko SC James Kwasi Appiah has secured a seat at the Executive Council Membership of the Ghana Football Association.

Kwasi Appiah pulled 10 votes to warrant him a seat among the decision makers of the Association for the next four years at the FA.

The 63-year-old who was recently appointed as the head coach of the Sudanese National Team will combine working with the Eastern African country and the GFA after being elected as an Exco member.

The former Black Stars coach went on the ticket of Asante Kotoko SC where he forms part of the Interim Management Committee set up by Manhyia to steer the affairs of the club after the exit of Dr. Kwame Kyei's led Board of Directors.

Kwasi Appiah joins Frederick Acheampong, Randy Abbey, Nana Oduro Sarfo and one of Kingsley Osei Bonsu and Elloeny Amandy who had 9 votes apiece as the Premier League representatives.

There would be a run-off between Elloeny Amandy and Kingsley Osei Bonsu to determine who makes it to the Exco seat.
