GFA Elections: Mark Addo retains seat, Anim Addo booted out of EXCO

 The Ghana Football Association's 2023 elections is ongoing at Tamale with many surprises witnessed so far with regards to the Executive Council Members election.


After James Kwesi Appiah making his way into the Exco Members to steer the affairs of the FA for the next four years for the Premier League side, Samuel Anim Addo of Young Apostles has been booted out of the Exco for Division One representatives. 


Vice President of the Association, Mark Addo of Nzema Kotoko retained his seat pulling 32 votes making the highest in the contest which will ensure continuity for Ghana Football. 


Gideon Fosu, CEO of Akosombo Krystal Palace and a member of the Finance Committee at the FA makes a surprise entry pulling 29 votes to bring a new face into decision making of football in Ghana. 


CEO of Danbort FC Eugene Noel Amon came third with 28 votes to complete the three representatives needed from Division One to complement the five from Premier League. 


Asamoah Gyan's manager, Anim Addo pulled a paltry 13 votes which is not enough to make through the Executive Council seat.


Incumbent President Kurt Okraku has been retained as the President for the next four years.
