Thomas Partey returns to Arsenal starting XI in UCL clash against Seville

Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has returned to the starting role of Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League clash with Spanish side Seville on Tuesday night.

The Black Stars assistant captain returns to full play after being on the sideline with an injury two months ago and returned just before the October FIFA International break.

He featured in Arsenal's late victory against Manchester City in the EPL with a pre-assist before joining Ghana for the game against Mexico and USA.

The 30-year-old will play alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard in a crucial encounter that the London side need all three points entering into the second round of the group stages to avoid late drama in the last three games of the group after losing to Lens on Match Day 2.

The former Atletico Madrid star has had little to enjoy in this season's set up for the "Gunners" due to recurring injuries and will be enjoying his fifth game of the season.

Arsenal returned to the UEFA Champions League after seven years abeyance for their sterling performance that nearly won them the league last season finishing second to Manchester City.

Thomas Partey was indispensable for the club last season, however, has taken a nosedive since the coming of Declan Rice in the team.
