TRAGIC: E. T. Mensah kicks the bucket


 Former Minister for Youth and Sports Emmanuel Teye Mensah has died, widespread reports indicate.


The longest serving Sports Minister died in South Africa after battling with an ailment after leaving Parliament in 2016.


In his 77 years on earth, he played major role in Ghana's 4th Republic serving on diverse ministerial position including Education, Employment and Labour Relations.


His time as a Sports Minister saw a lot of revolutions in the development of Sports in Ghana where the West African country won many football laurels internationally at the youth level.


He was succeeded by Malam Issah as the Sports Minister during the NPP administration under President JA Kuffour in 2001.
