"We've to be patient with him" - West Ham assistant manager on Kudus

Assistant Manager for English Premier League side West Ham United, Billy McKinlay has honestly praised Ghanaian star Kudus Mohammed but believes it will take time for Kudus to blossom in the Premier League.

The former Ajax Amsterdam attacker has been scintillating with the paltry minutes he has had since his €45 million move to the London side in the summer transfer windows.

The calls for the 22-year-old to be a lead figure in the West Ham side have been deafening, however, assistant manager of the club Billy McKinlay thinks it is too early to risk using Kudus as a started in the English Premier League.

"Mohammed Kudus has settled in at the Club really well and we can see there is a talented footballer there who cares about his football and wants to come in and contribute," McKinlay said as quoted by Joy.

"I think we maybe just have to be mindful of the fact it is a really tough league, the Premier League, and it’s really difficult to come in and set it alight.

"We have to be patient with him, but we certainly think he’s going to be a good player for us."

Kudus Mohammed has played five matches in all competitions for West Ham United and has scored twice in the Uefa Europa League game against TSC Backa Topola.
