Aboabire and "Ryzo" complete GFA Executive Council seat

 Samuel Aboabire and Alhaji Abubakar Hassan "Ryzo" have been elected to the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association to help steer the affairs of the Association for the next four years of football activities in Ghana.


The football association went into election to elect executives to take over the affairs of football in October this year after the first term of the previous elected administration expired. 


During the election in Tamale, President Kurt Okraku was maintained by the football electorate for a second term after a lot of drama which unfolded prior to his election with plethora of court injection which smeared the electioneering process.


Other executives where elected to help Kurt Okraku manage the affairs of the association which saw new faces from Kurt's first term on the Executive Council position.


Gifty Oware replaced Abiba Atta on the Women's Football wings, whereas Samuel Anim Addo of Young Apostles and Anthony Aubynn, Board Chairman of Medeama SC lost their positions as Executives Council Members.


Two slots were left to be filled after the elections and have been occupied by Greater Accra Regional FA Chairman, Samuel Aboabire and the Northern Regional FA Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Hassan "Ryzo". 


They replace Linford Boadu Asamoah from Eastern Region and Salifu Shaibu Zida, the current RFA Chairman for Upper East.


The Executive Council Members consist of the FA President, five Ghana Premier League representatives, three Division One League representatives, One representative from the Women's League, and two from the 10 RFA's.
