Head of Asante Kotoko SC's Interim Management Committee, Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, Kontomponiafere Hene, has arrived at the launch of the inaugural Africa Club Association (ACA) by the Confederations of Africa Football, CAF, ongoing in Cairo, Egypt.
Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua is there with the Administrative Manager of the club, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi for the maiden meeting.
The Africa Club Association is set to adopt new statutes that will govern the new initiative and also appoints executives and board members of the association.
The African Club Association will help in developing and improving vital aspects of the African game and to ensure competitiveness at various level of football on the continent.
Asante Kotoko SC have a representation as one of the greatest club on the continent and will be crucial in providing ideas in the adoption of new ways of improving football in Africa.
Asante Kotoko SC are two times Africa Champions, winning the Champions League in 1970 and 1983.
