The Confederations of Africa Football, CAF, launched its inaugural Africa Clubs Association to serve the interest and development of football on the continent in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday, 30 Nov, 2023.
1. To protect and promote the interest of African Football Clubs.
2. To ensure that African Football Clubs are commercially viable, globally competitive and profitable.
3. To ensure that Referees, Match Commissioners and VAR operators are respected, credible, independent and world-class.
4. To build partnerships with sponsors, the private sector and Governments to build stadiums that comply with CAF and FIFA standards and other football infrastructure and facilities in each of the 54 CAF Member Associations.
5. To develop African youth talent, academies for Boys and Girls and improve the quality of African Club football to be world class.
President of Young Africans in Tanzania, Eng. Hersi Ally Said has been appointed as the Chairman of the Association whiles Akwa United President, Elder Paul Bassey as Vice Chairman of the Association.
