AFRICA: Simba SC appoint Abdelhak Benchikha as new head coach

 Tanzanian giants, Simba SC have completed the signing of Algerian manager Abdelhak Benchikha on a short-term contract.


Simba SC gave the manager an 18-months-contract that will run till the middle of 2025 with a salary worth €35,000.00 every month.


The experienced manager is in to turn the fortunes of the Simba SC into a formidable side in both domestically and on the Africa continent as he is expected to arrive in Tanzania on Saturday and start work in earnest.


It is expected that he will be observing the game against ASEC Mimosa in the CAF Champions League which comes off at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dares-Salam.


The team is managed by interim manager Cabena who took over after the sacking Roberto Oliveira few weeks ago when the Brazilian failed to make a meaningful impact in the maiden edition of the just ended Africa Football League. 


Abdelhak Benchikha has won three continental trophies as he currently holds the CAF Confederations Cup as a coach with USM Algers.
