Chris Hughton explains his role as Black Stars coach

 Head coach of Ghana's Black Stars, Chris Hughton, has explained his role as the coach of the side ahead of Ghana's crucial World Cup Qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros next week.



The 64-year-old spells out that, it is incumbent on him to ensure the team give out the best of performances and churn out consistent results.


The Black Stars have struggled to put out convincing performance since Chris Hughton took charge earlier this year which has followed with public backlash.


In an interview with BBC, he admits winning every game is not possible, however, relies on lessons in previous games to bridge the paths for subsequent game in attaining the desired results.


Ghana has lost her two games against Mexico and USA in October in an international friendly which, Hughton, reveals that works are assiduously done to get things back in-situ.


"My role as the coach of the Black Stars is to get the best results and best performances from the team. You can't always get that, but what you can always do, you always learn from your previous experience, what's good and bad. And ultimately, I'll work as hard as I always do, to try to get things the best way we can."


Ghana will play Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, 17 Nov, 2023 before taking on Comoros on Tuesday, 21 Nov, 2023 in Moroni.
