Manchester United's Maguire pardons Ghanaian MP on comparison with Ghanaian economy

Manchester United and England defender, Harry Maguire has accepted an apology by Ghanaian politician, Isaac Adongo after the latter retracted his earlier comparison of the defender to Ghana’s Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In December last year, Isaac Adongo criticised the Vice President, comparing him to the English defender who at the time was on a form decline and was facing heavy criticism from fans and other football pundits across the globe.

However on Friday, during debates over the 2024 Budget, Isaac Adongo apologised to the United defender, claiming that although his form has improved, Bawumia, on the other hand, was still incompetently managing the country’s economy in a way that has seen the country ran to the IMF for a $3 billion bailout.

Harry Maguire unexpectedly accepted Isaac Adongo's apology and has asked to see him at Old Trafford.

“MP Issac Adongo apology accepted . See you at Old Trafford soon” he tweeted.

The Manchester United defender was replying to a Joy Sports tweet.
