Fatawu Issahaku's double assist brightens Leicester City's chances of Premier League return

Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku registered two assist for Leicester City's 2-0 victory against Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium to strengthen their position atop the English Championship.

He assisted Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's first goal on the 18th minute to put Leicester City in front just after the first quarter of the game.
In the second half, the 19-year-old double his assist on the 55th minute when he laid off a pass to James Justin who finished off with a curler at the right top corner to give Leicester City a 2-0 lead.

The double of an assist by Issahaku Abdul Fatawu makes it three games on a trot for his side tallying to seven in the season and two goals since arriving in English.

He is on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Club de Portugal till the end of the season.

However, with his performance so far for Enzo Maresca's side, it is highly like he will stay permanently with the former English champions.

The Foxes are positioned well for a return to the English Premier League next season as they comfortably lead the table in the Championship by 8 points difference after 26 games.

The former Dreams FC attacker will be joining the Black Stars squad in Ghana for preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON to be held in Ivory Coast in January.

Ghana will begin camping in Ghana on January 2, 2024 in Kumasi and will play a friendly game against Namibia before moving to Abidjan for the tournament.

It is expected that the former Africa's U-20 best player will play a monumental part for Ghana's quest to clinching her 5th Africa title in Ivory Coast.
