Ghana FA fined Gh¢70k by FIFA for violating Disciplinary Code

 The World football governing body, FIFA, have charged Ghana for violating the Disciplinary Code in her FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifier game against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in November 2023.


Ghana has, thus, been fined Five Thousand Swiss Francs which is equivalent to Gh¢70,264 to be paid to FIFA. 

Ghana beat Madagascar by a goal to nil late in the game kind courtesy, Inaki Williams's 90 plus 3 powerful headed goal which sealed all three points for the Black Stars. 

FIFA cited reasons which relate to unapproved people in the inner perimeter of the stadium which led to Ghanaian players surrounded by unknown people during the goal celebration.

Ghana went on to take Comoros in Moroni few days later and lost narrowly by a 1-0 leaving her with three points in her group after two games.
