Ghana Premier League: Match Report - Great Olympics share spoils with Asante Kotoko in Kumasi

Great Olympics gave Asante Kotoko SC a toast in a hot afternoon contest against Asante Kotoko SC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their Match Day 15 encounter of the Ghana Premier League.

The game ended barren with flurry of goal scoring opportunities to Asante Kotoko SC but failed to score none throughout the duration of the game.

Asante Kotoko SC took the game on to the home side and created all the possible chances to score but flupped them in the early changes of the game.

The opportunities gotten to score whispered some hopes that Asante Kotoko SC, though away side, will end up scoring a goal.

However, the first half ended goalless, an opposite to what ensued in terms of chances created in the first period.

In the first minute of the second half, Peter Amidu Acquah missed a clear opportunity to score than to miss to change the dynamics and narrative of the game with goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare doing well to stop that move.

On the 81th minute, Steven Dese Mukwala was set up by Richmond Lamptey one-on-one with Benjamin Asare who won the battle to stop that strike that could have given Asante Kotoko SC the lead.

On the 89th when all seemed lost for both sides, John Tedeku started a move on the left flanks to set up Mukwala in the box but did well to find captain Lamptey who walked the ball inside the box to have his final strike move inches away from goal post.

Great Olympics survived the incessant pressure Asante Kotoko SC piled on them throughout the game to end the game 0-0.
