Ghana Premier League: Match Report - Another goalkeeping blunder denies Hearts of Oak a win at Abrankese

Nations FC shared a point each with Accra Hearts of Oak in a 1-1 draw game at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese in their Match Day 15 encounter of the Ghana Premier League.

In-form Hamza Issah gave Accra Hearts of Oak the lead in the first half before former WAFA striker Richard Danso got the equalizer for Nations FC at the stroke of full time.

Accra Hearts of Oak got the game going on the 9th minute after defender of Nations FC carelessly dropped the ball to Hamza Issah to finish off for the "Rainbow" club to take the lead.

Both clubs attacked more, especially from the flanks to open up the defenses but the game was not ready for any more goals.

Nations FC scored on the 36th minutes but was ruled offside against Nafiu Sulemana to keep the game 1-0 for Accra Hearts of Oak at half time.

Nations FC looked more purposeful with the intention to turn the game around as a goal bound ball was cleared away by captain Abdul Aziz Nurudeen to keep Accra Hearts of Oak alive in the game on the 61st minute.

Stop-gap coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru made some tactical substitution to help Accra Hearts of Oak defend the one goal lead heading towards the end of the game by bringing on Eric Esso, Amankwah Baafi and Winimi on the 64th minute to solidify the midfield and defense.

The substitution seemed to have worked according plan only for goalkeeper Richmond Ayi to fail to stop a feeble strike by Richard Danso on the 90+4 minute from a cross inside the box from a free kick which found the striker inside the box.

The ball nicodamously lost from the hands of Richmond Ayi through his legs into the net to bring Nations FC back into the game.

The action was enough to end the game 1-1 to keep Accra Hearts of Oak winless in their last four games in the league and Nations FC undefeated in their last six games.
