Ghana Premier League: Match Report- Medeama beat Goldstars narrowly to leapfrog Hearts of Oak on League table

Medeama SC recorded a 1-0 win against Bibiani Goldstars at the Tarkwa Akoon Park in their Ghana Premier League Match Day 16 encounter.

Kwadwo Amoako's second half goal sealed all three points for the defending champions to leapfrog them on the league table.

A difficult first half saw both sides not utilizing the few chances that came their way to leave the entire forty-five minutes barren.

It was a 71st minute strike from the penalty spot by right-back Kwadwo Amoako that separated the two sides in an almost balanced game.

The win takes them to the 10th position with 19 points overtaking Hearts of Oak with 18 points and have four outstanding matches left to be played for the Yellow and Mauves as their activeness in the CAF Champions League continue.

The defeat compounds the wounds of Bibiani Goldstars as they continue to find ways to greatness in this season's Premier League.
