Ghana Premier League: Match Report- Mukwala's brace stretches Kotoko's unbeaten run to seven to end the first round

 Asante Kotoko SC defeated Bofoakwa Tano 2-0 at the Sunyani Coronation Park in their last fixture of the first round of the 2023-24 season. 

Two goals in both halves by Stephen Dese Mukwala handed Asante Kotoko SC all three points in the game.

Steven Mukwala struck first on the 20th minute from an empty net to put Asante Kotoko in the lead. 

A ding-song affair by both side kept the game alive for each to get the winner as Bofoakwa Tano never gave up even though went down. 

The first half ended in favour of the away side in a dominant Asante Kotoko game.

In the second half, it was late in the game on the 80th minute when Steven Mukwala got the second goal for Asante Kotoko to lead 2-0 heading towards the end of the game.

The Porcupine Warriors stretched their unbeaten run to seven with a sweet 2-0 win on the road to lie 2nd on the league log with 29 points.

The energy and zeal to recapture the league title is surely revived with 3 points separating Samartex 1996, who are first on the table to Asante Kotoko which will make the second round a fascinating one to witness.
