Asante Kotoko SC head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has congratulated Richmond Lamptey for being selected into the Black Stars squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023 to be held in Ivory Coast this month.
The University lecturer and Psychologist has joined his players in sharing the good news that has befallen the club to have a representative in the biggest tournament on the Africa continent.
On his social media X page, the coach believes the player's commitment and passion that drives his abilities on the field have resulted in getting a call up in the national team for the AFCON.

The Black Stars of Ghana will begin their ten days camping in Kumasi on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 where they will play a friendly game against Namibia at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before leaving for Ivory Coast for the tournament.
Richmond Lamptey will join the team at their camp base where the teeming supporters of Asante Kotoko SC will be hoping he gets a significant contribution to Ghana during the tournament.
