Alhassan Yusuf who made it on the bench in the Round 16 win over Cameroon spoke after training on Monday declaring himself ready for the game against Angola.

"I'm in good shape now, no discomfort or injury again," the Royal Antwerp midfielder said at Police College, Cocody training grounds in Abidjan.

Yusuf went further saying "I'm ready to play again, but the coach will decide when he wants to play me. The team is doing well and that is the most important thing".

The Super Eagles can't leave their chances as they square it off with Angola on Friday in the quarter finals.

The Palancas Negras has been one of the surprise packages in this tournament as they topped their group that had 2019 champions Algeria and 2013 runners up Burkina Faso.

The Super Eagles were eliminated in the Round of 16 in the last AFCON by covid stricken Tunisia.

However, this time around, they have find tune to playing very well and getting the results as they have set a target of winning the 4th title.
