AFCON 2023: Jordan Ayew is confident of victory over Egypt

Black Stars will play Egypt on Thursday and attacker, Jordan Ayew addressed a match presser admitting how confident he is about winning the game.

The Black Stars were shockingly defeated by Cape Verde faltering in a 2:1 loss on Sunday in first group encounter. 

The Blue Sharks took the lead as Alexander Djiku equalized before the Black Stars conceded a late goal.
     
Speaking at the pre match, Jordan said. "I feel like the first game we didn't concentrate for 90, 95, 100 minutes, that's what cost us the game. The most important thing is to come back and stay focused as a team and show different qualities that we have. And be more aggressive in every department and be fine enough. The coach believes in the boys and staff, we are working really hard. I know that tomorrow will really be good day for us and for Ghana and I'm really confident".
     
It promises to be a crunching encounter as the two giants of African football square it off at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.  

Both sides had a shocker as Egypt needed a late minute penalty to draw level with Mozambique as Black Stars were shockingly defeated by Cape Verde. 
    
Both sides will leave no stone unturned as three points are up for grabs.

Ghana coach, Chris Hughton acknowledged the importance of the game as shown awareness of the opponent who are the most successful side in the competition. 
    
In the entire 23 Appearances of the Black Stars at the AFCON, the team has lost only 2 second round of group games which is 1984 and 1998.
