Ghana captain, Andre Ayew, has issued an apology through a video posted on his instagram account addressing Ghanaians about Black Stars shambolic AFCON performance.
The Ghana captain expressed deep regret for the team’s inability to advance to the Round 16 of the tournament finishing the group with only two points after three games.
The 34-year-old took full responsibility of what happened at Côte D’Ivoire saying they will bounce back stronger in subsequent games.
Ghana could not make it to the second round of the continent's most prestigious football tournament for the second time in a row placing doubts on Ghana's credibility on the Africa continent.
The tournament has reached the Quarter-finals stage.
