GFA spokesperson confirms the availability of Kudus in Ghana

The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, GFA, Henry Asante Twum has confirmed that West Ham United star, Kudus Mohammed is in Ghana and will join the Black Stars squad on Monday.

Kudus Mohammed whose name is part of the final 27-man-squad for Ghana’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast is yet to join his teammates due to an injury he is nursing.

The 23-year-old is the only player left to join the squad after seven days of intense training in Kumasi.

Henry Asante emphasizes that, the player is around and has not join because the technical team has given the time to rest to fully recuperate before joining the squad before they leave Ghana for Ivory Coast.

"Mohammed Kudus is in Accra ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. According to the Technical Team, he needs rest after picking up a strain. He will join the team before they depart for the AFCON."
Ghana will take on Namibia in a friendly encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday night in their final lapse preparation for the tournament and will not involve the superstar.

Ghana will depart to the neighbouring two days before the start of 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
