Ghana Premier League: Match Report - Heart of Lions pip Dreams FC to record second victory of the season

 The second outstanding game for Match Day 13 of the Ghana Premier League between Heart of Lions and Dreams FC ended 1-0 for Heart of Lions at the Hohoe Park.

Kwesi Pong's first half goal was enough to hand the Kpando based side all three points to mark their second win of the season.

Heart of Lions looked the more determined team to win the three points from start to finish but failed to utilize the chances in the early exchanges of the game. 

Bashir Hayford's led side has some two quick chances in succession on the 10th minutes but could not count on them. 

However, the one that came Kwesi Pong's way on the 31st minute went straight into the net to give Heart to Lions the deserving lead by 1-0.

Just before the break, Heart of Lions had the opportunity to extend their lead on the 44th minute but Abban Ebenezer flupped the penalty kick gained to end the first half 1-0

In the second half, both sides where much more improved, especially Dreams FC, to get the equalizer and further push for the winner. 

Heart of Lions kept their tempo and remained solid in defense to thwart everything thrown at them by Dreams FC. 

The game ended 1-0 for the home side to whip up their hopes of escaping the drop zone as they leave the gap between them and the away side by just a point on 14 points at the bottom of the league table after 16 games.
