Laryea Kingston is the new Head Coach of National U-17

 Former Black Stars player Laryea Kingston, has been confirmed as the head coach of the Ghana U-17 National Team, the Black Stalittes, by the Ghana Football Association.

Laryea Kingston confirmed the news in an interview with Joy News that the Football Association elevated him from the assistant to the main coach after the team's mini tournament in Serbia in 2022 where Ghana defeated their opponents. 

"After Serbia tournament, the FA saw what's in me and what I can do, we sat down and quickly moved me from the assistant to the head coach".

Laryea is a UEFA licensed coach and has been working around the clock to be amongst mainstream elite coaches in Ghana where he previously worked for Norsdjaelland FC before accepting the national team job.

He assisted Karim Zito during the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament before taking on Saudi Arabia in a double-header friendly where they scored 31 goals in eight games.
