Pre-AFCON friendly: Match Report - Ghana held in Kumasi by Namibia ahead of tournament

The Black Stars of Ghana drew goalless draw with Namibia in their final friendly game to the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday night.

Ghana had a poor first half failing to make anything positive in the final third of their opponents to allow Namibia to steal all the opportunity to score in the game.

Ghana gave out the ball in their half to Namibia from Elisha Owusu deep in midfield but the South African country failed to utilize the chance.

In the second half, the Black Stars gave an improved performance after the first half pep talks, however, could not get any goal throughout the duration of the game.

Hamburger SV winger, Ranaford Yeboah Konigsdorffer pull out an impressive showing, being the brightest spot for Ghana heading towards the tournament.

After a wholesale changes by Chris Hughton to test other arsenal in his folds, the team hard strength and smooth movements to goal but yielded zilch on the score sheet.

Ghana will travel to neighboring Ivory Coast on Thursday to prepare for their first game of the tournament against Cape Verde whereas Namibia will face off South Africa in their first game.
