Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton says Asante Kotoko SC deputy captain, Richmond Lamptey is in good position to get playing time in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
The left-footed midfielder was not included in the final team squad for both games Ghana has played so far which has raised eyebrows for including in the squad for the tournament.
However, Hughton has clarified that, the 27-year-old is in good shape to taste a game in the tournament as he contributes impressively during practice time.
"Richmond Lamptey has been a big part of our squad. He always put himself in consideration to be involved."
Lamptey is part of the only three local players named in the 27-man-squad for the tournament and none is yet to make a game with Ghana honouring their last game in the group on Monday night against Mozambique.
