Asante Kotoko propose a two-year extension for Mukwala

 Asante Kotoko SC are in advance talk with their Ugandan striker, Steven Mukwala for a contract extension.


The Porcupine Warriors are bent on ensuring they tie the prolific goalscorer down as he is left with less than a year for the expiration of his current contract with the club.

The 24-year-old has been an instrument figure for the Kumasi-based side since arriving for the 2022/23 season where he scored eleven times and assisted four becoming an indispensable figure in attack for Asante Kotoko.

Having scored eight (8) goals in the first half of the 2023/24 season, the club is looking up to the Ugandan international to continue with him as they seek for an Africa club football berth.

The 24-times Ghanaian champions are ready to table a propose a two-year contract extension for former Vipers FC player that will bind him till 2026 should agreement reached.

Both parties are said to be in agreement to meet each other's terms so as to finalize a deal amicably in the coming days.

Egyptian and Moroccan clubs are monitoring the situation of the player and will be ready to snatch away the striker at the end of the 2023/24 season.

With Asante Kotoko knocked out of the MTN FA Cup, their focus now is to win the Ghana Premier League that will secure a spot for them in the next CAF Champions League season.

Should that happen, the service of Steven "Dese" Mukwala will be immensely needed to advance the course of the club in Africa.
