Three English clubs chase Abdul Samed Salis

English Premier League sides are in hot chase for Ghanaian midfielder, Abdul Samed Salis who is currently with French Ligue 1 side, Lens.

Reports are rife in the media that Brighton and Hove Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham are front liners in the chase for the Ghanaian Defensive Midfielder whose contract expires with Lens on 30 June, 2028.

As it stands, Lens are ready to enter negotiation with any club wanting the service of the player but are yet to receive any official offer from these clubs.

The 23-year-old has remained solid for the French side seeing them book a Uefa Champions League spot after the 2022/23 season in a season he was indispensable in the team's set up.

In as much as Lens have not been explosive and commanding this season as juxtaposed to last season, Abdul Samed Salis's consistency has given him a niche to attract interest from England who is currently priced around $20 million.

Since making his debut for Ghana in December 2021, he has proven solidity in midfield over seeing 14 games including FIFA World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana has plethora of names in the English top flight league, with some making headlines like Kudus Mohammed of West Ham United who has brought light into the Ghanaian game in England since he arrived from Ajax Amsterdam last summer.

Tariq Lamptey, Ibrahim Osman, Antoine Semenyo are some other Ghanaians doing well with their club and with the addition of the former Clermont Foot midfielder, England will have a good feed of the Ghanaian game.
