2023 AFRICA GAMES: Ghana makes it to the Men's 100 meters semi finals

The track events of the 13th Africa Games has started with Ghana having a good showing in the Men's 100 meters Heat.

The three athletes for the events in the Games have all made it to the semi-finals of the Men's 100 meters after clocking within time in their respective heats.

Ansah Sarfo finished with 10.34 seconds whiles Barnabas Aqqerh had 10.46 seconds and Ghana touch bearer, Benjamin Azamati having 10.54 seconds, which is minus 1.6 second of his Personal Best in his heat.

The time finished for each athlete qualifies them to the next stage of the competition, albeit requires improvement so as to be able to reach the final stage and a possiblity of winning a medal for Ghana.

A berth for the forthcoming Paris Olympic Games is up for grabs as they require a minimum time of 10.00 seconds to qualify for the Competition in France later this year.

Semi-finals start at 16:50 GMT on Monday, at the newly constructed Legon Olympic Stadium.
