Andre Ayew hit half century goal mark in French Ligue 1

The captain of Ghana Andre Dede Ayew scored his 50th goal in the French Lig 1 on Sunday on the 45th minute as an equalizer for his club Le Havre against Clermont Foot.

Despite scoring the equalizer, Le Havre went on to lose 2:1 to relegation threatened Clermont Foot.

The captain of the Black Stars made a return into the French league this season in his third stint with a French club as he has featured for Marseille, Lorient and now Le Havre.

Following his return, Dede Ayew has most often commanded positions in the starting line-up of Luka Elsner's side as he has featured in 12 games and scored 3 goals in the league.

The goal scored by the 34 year old captain of the Black Stars made another milestone in his career as he has achieved half a century of goals in his entire career in the French Lig 1 in his third club in France with Le Havre.

Andre Dede Ayew has also received a call up to Ghana as returnee coach Otto Addo has named a 25 man squad to face Nigeria and Uganda this month in two international friendlies in Marrakech.
