Brahim Diaz expressed delight after Morocco debut

The national team of Morocco engaged their Angolan counterparts in an international friendly as it ended 1:0 in favor of Morocco courtesy an own goal from David Carmo.

That was the first international friendly after the Africa Cup of Nations that was staged earlier this year between Morocco and quarter finalists Angola.

In an anticipated event, Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Diaz made his debut for the Atlas Lions in the friendly as he lasted for 87 minutes on the pitch until he was substituted by Bilal El Khannous.

After the game, the Spanish born player expressed his happiness after switching nationality to play for Morocco.

"I see how much they love me here. My teammates have been very supportive. I've felt very good and I'm happy for what I've experienced. Happiness is what I feel and that is all I can say". Diaz opined after the game.

Brahim Diaz has featured for Manchester City, AC Milan and now Real Madrid at the club level. It became a point in time when he was thorn in between choosing Spain where he was born and his ancestry home Morocco. The Real Madrid playmaker finally made a decision to represent Morocco at the international level.

This afforded him the opportunity after earning his maiden call up to Coach Walid Regragui's squad as he played his first game for Morocco in an international friendly with Angola.
