Abdul Fatawu Issahaku confirms Leicester City's permanent move

 Ghanaian sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has given confirmation on his next destination for the 2024/25 football season at the Ghana Football Awards night.



The youngster produced a stellar outing last season for English Premier League returnees, Leicester City where he played on a season loan deal from Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon.

The 20-year-old helped the 2015/16 Premier League winners booked a place back in the league with some six goals and thirteen assists for Enzo Maresca's side which proved crucial in reshaping the Abdul Fatawu's abilities as a developing star.

With an option to buy from Sporting Lisbon, Leicester City have been convinced about the player's addition into the squad for the upcoming season and seasons beyond with a clause of €18 million from his parent club.

To confirm his stay in England for the 2024/25 season, the former Africa U-20 best player told the gathering that he will don the Blue shirts of Leicester, meaning the team have completed his permanent move.

“I will be playing for Leicester City next season,” Issahaku said at the Ghana Football Awards night.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku returned to the national team earlier this month for the Black Stars in the World Cup Qualifier games against Mali and the Central Africa Republic where he scored in Ghana's 4-3 victory against the latter in Kumasi with a stupendous performance that night.
