Former Asante Kotoko SC captain, Richmond Lamptey landed in Rwanda on Thursday night to complete his move to APR FC in Rwanda.
The left-footed midfielder will undergo a mandatory medical test on Friday, 28 June, 2024 before penning a two-year-deal with the Rwandan champions later in the afternoon.
The ex-WAFA midfielder is expected to be a hugely recognized figure in the team who have set sight on making it through to the 2024/25 CAF Champions League group stages as one of the most salary earners in the club.
He is reported to receive between $5,000 to $10,000 a month salary.
Having played in the Ghana Premier League for over a decade, Richmond Lamptey has developed into a fuuly-flagged footballer whose passing abilities distinguishes him in games.
With little games played last season due to injuries, he was involved in two goals five assists in the 2023/24 season for Asante Kotoko SC which earned him a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cote D'ivoire.
He won the Ghana Premier League with Asante Kotoko SC during the 2021/22 playing an integral part of the club's success.
