Agbesimah requests to leave Hearts of Oak

Defender for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kofi Agbesimah has requested to leave the club citing reasons of his unhappiness at the club.

He joined the club only before the start of the 2023/24 season from Bechem United after several seasons with the "Hunters" where he garnered a lot of experience in the local game.

A lot of expectations from him to stabilize and command the ailing defensive frailties of the club but could not leave up to the standard throughout his first season with the club.

Having played majority of games for Hearts of Oak last season, it is believed that the understanding and commitment needed to don the Rainbow jersey is developed to give the experience defender an opportunity to deliver in subsequent seasons.

However, Agbesimah, who captained the team last season, wants to leave of which the club have opened their doors to listen to offers should they come to allow him leave to the club with the best offer.

Hearts of Oak survived relegation in the 2023/24 season at the death of the season and are looking forward to restructure the team squad with committed players.

The club is reported to have signed two players, a defender and a striker from Nations FC and are into deep negotiations to add Enock Morrison, formerly of Asante Kotoko and Samuel Quaye of Great Olympics.
