Asante Kotoko to have training tour in South Africa

 Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko SC have chosen to conduct their pre-season in South Africa in the month of August 2024.

The initial plan of embarking the pre-season in European countries has taken a nosedive following some tight schedules after the end of the 2023/24 Ghana Football season.

The original date for the European tour in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland was on 5 August, 2024, however, due to the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup which was held on 17 July, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium, plans for the European tour could not materialize.

The team will leave Ghana on the 15 August, 2024 to Johannesburg, South Africa where they will be involved in competitive friendly games to shape them ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Asante Kotoko SC are currently on break after their victory against Hearts of Oak last Wednesday in Accra and will resume training on the 29 July, 2024 at the Asante Kotoko training grounds before leaving for South Africa.
