Baba Yara Stadium to serve as home grounds for Samartex and Nsoatreman

 The Confederations of Africa Football, CAF, have approved the Baba Yara Sports in Kumasi for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup for the 2024/25 season.



Ghana Premier League champions, Samartex 1996 and MTN FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman FC will be representing Ghana in the both competitions respectively.

Both managements of the clubs submitted the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as their home venue throughout the first phase of the competition as their original grounds, Nsenkyire Sports Complex at Samraboi and the Prof. Nana Koromansa II Park at Twumasikrom are not fit for purpose.

The draw for the preliminary rounds was held on Thursday in Cairo were Samartex 1996 paired Victory United FC of Cameroon whereas Nsoatreman FC paired Elect Sport FC of Chad.

The first leg of games will come off on the weekend of 16-18 August, 2024 and the second leg a week after.
