The maiden edition of the Democracy Cup between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko SC has been postponed from Friday, 5 July, 2024 to Wednesday, 17 July 2024.
The main reason for the postponement of the much anticipated game is to mainly give the two teams enough time to fully prepare for the game.
It can also be steamed from the fact that the Accra Sports Stadium will not be fully ready to honour the game due to the fact that the stadium has been used for other church activities over the week.
Both clubs returned to team training last weekend after breaking for a two weeks rest after the end of the 2023/24 Ghana Football season.
The Democracy Cup is under the guide of the Parliament of Ghana as Ghana ushers in 30 Years of Parliamentary Democracy under the 4th Republic of Ghana and will be supported by the Ghana Football Association.
