Fatawu Hamidu moves to Ghazl El-Mahalla in Egypt

 Ghanaian international, Abdul Fatawu Hamidu has completed a three-year move to Egyptian side Ghazl El-Mahalla, club confirms.


The Medeama SC defender left Ghana to Egypt earlier this week for a mandatory medicals and further signing a deal that will keep him in the Egyptian league till 2027.

Abdul Fatawu has been an integral member of the Yellow and Mauves's recent success in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League where they annexed their first ever GPL trophy.

His impressive performance landed him an opportunity in the Black Stars a couple of times, proudly, part of the team that featured in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Prior to his move to Egypt, a number of Ghanaian clubs where chasing for his signature including Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak who are on the run of strengthening their squad after an abysmal output in the last Ghana football season.
