"He'll be a vital asset to our team" - Ogum to Kyei Baffour

 Head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has been full of praise for newly signed striker Elvis Kyei Baffour who signed the dotted lines on Monday for the next three seasons.



Elvis Kyei Baffour who became the fifth signing for Asante Kotoko SC ahead of the 2024/25 season has received the trust of the head coach who prepares his side for the upcoming maiden edition of the Democracy Cup on Wednesday against Accra Hearts of Oak.

Ogum emphasizes that the coming of the experienced attacker exposes the club's determination to invigorate the team in order that they can compete feverishly in all competitions next season.

“We are delighted to welcome Elvis Kyei Baffour to Asante Kotoko. He is a player of immense quality and potential, and we believe he will be a vital asset to our team. This signing underscores our commitment to strengthening our squad and achieving success in all competitions.” Prosper told the club's website.

After sacking twenty-three (23) players at the end of the 2023/24 season, the former Liberty Professionals joins newly signed players, Esmat Abdulhamid Mohammed, AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub, Samba Gilbani Ndongani and Emmanuel Antwi to rewrite the club's script for next season.

Asante Kotoko SC are pushing forward to achieving a respectable position in the 2024/25 Ghana Football season which will return them to Africa club competitions after finishing 6th on the league table last season.
