"I accept the pressure that comes with Hearts of Oak"- Asamoah Boateng

Newly signed Accra Hearts of Oak striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie has openly stated that he understands the pressure that comes with playing for the club and is ready to adjust himself to it.

The young attacker is reported to have completed a move to the capital based side early this week and has started to accommodate himself with life with his new club.

Speaking with the media, he believes the pressure from the club will help him in achieving his goal as a footballer.

"Life is all about pressure. It's up to you to know how to deal with it. It's part of us from day one. Every aspect of our life involves pressure.

"If you don't succeed in life, there's pressure. If you succeed, there's pressure too. I think I'm putting myself under pressure, but I'm working hard to reach my goals. I know how to handle the pressure," he told Happy FM.

Hearts of Oak escaped relegation at the death of last season and have started preparation for next season in earnest so as to strengthen their squad to be able to stand the test of time.

Asamoah Boateng Afriyie joins Hearts of Oak with fellow Nations FC defender Michael Awuah.
