Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo has made a sensational return to football after nine (9) out due to injury he sustained in October 2023 when featuring for Ghana against Mexico in an international friendly game.
The Celta Vigo central defender has joined his teammates in pre-season training as they gear up for the 2024/25 season.
The 28-year-old featured only six (6) games for his side prior to sustaining his Achilles tendon injury that took him away for the rest of the 2023/24 season.
His absence affected the performance of Celta Vigo throughout the season as they struggled to make way in the season where they finished 13th on the La Liga table after the 2023/24 season with 41 points.
The former Gent defender has been a pivotal player for Celta Vigo since moving to Spain in the 2019/20 season and Claudio Giraldez will be hopeful to have the experience defender for the upcoming season.
