Some of the players have had their contract expired with the club whiles others will be shipped off due to below level performance over the years.

Accra Hearts of Oak will be seeking to rewrite the script for next after narrowly escaping relegation after the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season where they had to beat Bechem United on the last Match Day to ensure their safety in top flight football.

After losing to bitterest Asante Kotoko SC in the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup on Wednesday night at the Accra Sports Stadium, the club has been convinced of the decision to allow majority of the squad leave to make way for new ones who will produce results befitting the club.

Already, the club has already signed two players from Nations FC, Asamoah Boateng Afriyie and Michael Awuah who both produced an above average performance in their debut game for Hearts of Oak.

The team has broken for a short period after Wednesday's game and will resume in some few days to fully prepare for the 2024/25 season with an entirely new squad.
