Kwesi Appiah faces Ghana with Sudan in AFCON Qualifiers

Ghana will take on Sudan in the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers in Group F together with Angola and Niger.

Sudan's Ghanaian head coach, James Kwesi Appiah will be leading his charges against his home country in a bait to secure a place for the next AFCON in Morocco.

Kwesi Appiah has played significant role since taking the Sudan National Team job in 2023 and he is in a poll position to ensuring Sudan gets qualification to the next FIFA World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico for the first time.

Sudan leads a group of Senegal, DR Congo, Togo, South Sudan and Mauritania with ten (10) points after four games in Group B of the Africa World Cup Qualifier.

Having being tasked to ensure Sudan qualifies to the next World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, Kwesi Appiah will have to deal with Ghana to ensure he meets his target set for him by the Sudanese Football Association.

The 63-year-old gaffer is part of Ghana's Football Executive Council Members and doubles as the Technical Director of Asante Kotoko SC.
